How it Works...

We're glad you asked! LifeTimeBackup.com keeps your photos safe by using the latest in technology to archive each and every file for 100 years. Our online photo backup is the only service of its kind, offering one-time payment for a lifetime of protection.

The process starts when you make a CD of your images. We do accept your data by other methods, but we find that most people would prefer the simplicity of making a CD and mailing it. Contact us if you want to arrange for digital delivery.

Once you burn the CD, you mail it to our data processing center in the envelope provided. The CD makes its way to us through the mail, meaning you don't have to worry about programs to install or lengthy uploads of photos to our website.

When the CD arrives, its immediately uploaded into our computers. Within 24 hours, we replicate your images to a second location. This means we always have at least two copies of your photos ready to go should you need them. The chance of us ever loosing you photo is so remote, we guarentee our service.

You keep your photos at home as well so you can enjoy them over and over. However, should your computer fail, or your misplace your photos for any reason, you simply contact LifeTimeBackup.com to receive a free replacement of your images on CD.

The new CD is mailed to you and should arrive in a few days. You are allowed one free CD for each CD you store with us. If you should need more copies, they are available for a reasonable cost.

LifeTimeBackup.com funds its operations with your subscription fees. However, unlike most other services, you only pay once for each CD you backup. That means you will never see a monthly invoice or have a credit card charge each month.

Your payment is held and 1/100th of the payment is used each year to fund the storage of your photos. In this way, you never have to worry about LifeTimeBackup.com disappearing. It isn't always nice to think about, but we'll be here longer then you will.

That brings up a question we always here - what happens if I die? Your photos remain stored with LifeTimeBackup.com - your family can access them anytime during the original 100 year agreement just like you could. To do that, they will need to provide proof of your death, and proof of their relationship to you.
